I have two Sky+HD boxes. :D

(The top one usually sits downstairs, I just bought it up for a photo. :P )

Also, you can see some slight changes between the original one and the current ones. Mainly, different logos/name, and the ring of light in the middle is a bit different.

Hands up who remembers 'Why Don't You?' It was a British kids TV show that, I was surprised to learn, ran up until 1995 (as i thought it had finished in the 80's!) Anyway it's not like i remember it particularly fondly but one thing i do remember was the theme song which went 'Why don't you just switch off the television set and go do something less boring instead' which even when i was a kid found slightly stupid considering the fact that it was a TV show and it was advocating turning off the TV. I used to follow this advice quite literally and take this as my cue to either get my breakfast or just get out of the house and see what trouble i could get into...

Like it says - there's never anything good on anyway!

We got the set in late 1952 or early 1953; the photo is probably from the same time and was taken in Eugene, Oregon (USA). Until a local station started broadcasting, we only got a very fuzzy picture from a UHF station in Portland. The cable going off to the right went to a UHF antenna on top of a 40-foot mast on the roof; later in 1953, there was another cable going through the wall on the right connected to a VHF antenna lower on the mast to pick up signals from a new TV station in Eugene.

I took this photo in about 1955 in Eugene, Oregon (USA). I think we got the set in 1953. At first there was only a fuzzy UHF station 100 miles away (in Portland); later there was a local VHF station. The cables in the wall are for the UHF and VHF antennas which were on the same 40-foot mast on the roof.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs is the name that comes to mind when people think about one of the most excellent and iconic leaders in the tech world. He is also behind the success of Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, iTunes, and etc. However, there are some significantly personal and professional milestones of his life we may not have ever known before.

Steve Jobs, whose parents were unmarried graduate students at the time of his birth, was born on Feb. 24, 1955 in San Francisco and adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. His biological sister is novelist Mona Simpson.

Flat screen televisions are becoming more and more popular. Though many consumers are satisfied with the picture quality that they receive with their flat screen televisions, some wonder if there is a way to optimize the sound quality. There is a variety of ways to get better sound quality which will enhance to total performance of the television.

One way to optimize the sound quality is through the use of a home theater system. There are several types of home theater systems available. The older model theater systems included speakers which could be place around a room in order to produce surround sound.

The most popular and modern home theater system is referred to as "wireless"; this does not mean that the system is completely free of wires. This system still needs to be connected to a power supply, but allows freedom from having wires connected from across the room. These systems can range in price from 0 to 00.

Another popular way that flat screen owners are optimizing sound is through a sound bar. Again, there are several types of sound bars available to choose from.
